We received a nice message from a great Initiative from Germany. A new site has been founded by three top level referees. Steve Bittner , Nicolas Rotter and Carsten Straube are the motors behind www.referee-education.de
The team presents itself with the following message: ‘We try to make the best of a difficult situation these days and we see in this crisis a chance. With our site we want to give referees the possibility to work on their hobby. We want to share knowledge, share different perspectives and exchange digitally about cool topics. We are very glad that so many expert speakers already promised their support and cooperation and we hope that every collegue will benefit from the site’
A number of webinars has been announced already. Fiba referee Steve Bittner will tip off on may 7th at 19.00 (Berlin time) with ‘Rules and myths that surround them’. Nicolas Rotter will do the second edition on may 13th about ‘The art of constructive communication’. The sessions will be in German!
It will not be only basketball referees that will share their knowledge. Demond Greene (former international and Bundesligaplayer), Daniel Siebert (soccer referee at FIFA level) and Svenja Brunkhorst (national team player 5×5 and 3×3) will air on the site. #RefEd (referee-education)… it’s a site to bookmark!
