Some days ago we had this awesome clip from Sam Subby and asked you about #yourdecision. Most people came up with a blocking foul, some agreed on our first idea of a charge and we even had some smart guys and girls who went for a flop.
As a shooter goes up for a shot he or she is entitled to land on every spot on on the field not occupied by the opponent. And there’s the point where a seeming charge in this case transfers to a blocking foul. As the shooter is up in the air, the defense adjusts the position and tries to draw the charge. Very light contact, but defense is too late, so we are going for a blocking foul, and can very well understand if as a refereeteam you will be warning the defender not to try and flop.
