What is your (No)call ?

IF you decide to swallow your whistle on a play, you have to be aware that it can put one of both teams at an advantage. When rewatching on video you should always be able to explain for yourself: why did I decide to go for a no call? And it can be very good to not call a foul, but that may change from play to play. That being said: we have a clip down here for you. What would you do? Offensive foul or no call?

We can not stress enough the importance of watching clips. It will help you understand what is happening in your own games, even if you missed a sequence of a play it’s possible to have the best call in that play if you understand what’s happening. Curious?? It’s important to be on the spot where you got to go to see what you got to see. And as IoT prescribes : be distant to the play to avoid making emotional calls, and be steady for it’s easier to focus on the play if you’re standing still (instead of running).

Refereetime is a French website that aims to bring news for basketballreferees and helps them improve. One of the activities they organized recently was a refereecamp in Orly where new refs were schooled to start their careers, and other aspiring refs were mentored by big names such as Eddy Viator (Olympic finalists in Rio 2016) or Yohann Rosso (Olympics 2021).
